Puebla, Mexico – Tolito and Alfonso on fire! Claiming the FIP Platinum Mexico title and top 60.

Facing Alonso Rodriguez Martinez and Juan Ignacio Rubini, they showed real grit, bouncing back from a tough first set to win 4/6, 6/2, 5/3. It was a tough ending, with Rodriguez having to retire in match point due to an ankle injury.

This win is a huge boost for “The Magicians,” their second title in three tournaments, following their Gold Walls victory. They’ve been consistently strong, also reaching the Gijon P2 final. The 300 points they earned? That’s the key to their big goal: cracking into the world’s top 60.

Now, Tolito’s at 52nd and Gonzalo’s at 47th. What’s that mean? They’re automatically in the main draws of all Premier Padel tournaments, a real leap forward for their careers.

And they’re not slowing down. Another strong showing in Cancun next week could push them into the top 40, getting them closer to those top seed spots.

On the women’s side, Andrea Ustero and Alejandra Alonso delivered a dominant performance, taking home the title with a solid 6/4, 6/0 win over Noa Canovas and Jimena Velasco.
